Although rural life has improved significantly in recent years, many disadvantaged families still face daily financial pressures. For households with school-age children, education expenses can become a considerable burden alongside essential needs such as food, healthcare and daily living costs. In some cases, financial difficulties may put children at risk of dropping out of school or prevent them from accessing adequate learning conditions.

Recently, as part of a project supporting disadvantaged households, Thien Chi Center, in collaboration with local authorities and community collaborators in Bac Ruong, Dong Kho, and Tan Linh communes, organized three training sessions on the prevention and management of common health conditions. To help families improve production efficiency and develop sustainable livelihoods, Thien Chi Center collaborated with local authorities and community volunteers in Bac Ruong, Dong Kho, and Tanh Linh communes to organize a training session on free-range chicken farming techniques. The Blackboard on the Wall and An Phúc’s Dream In a small temporary house built on a relative’s land, Nguyễn An Phúc remains focused as he solves math problems on a special blackboard. The blackboard is not part of a complete study corner with a desk and chairs. Instead, his father attached it to the wall because the house is too small to accommodate a separate study desk for the children.

Mrs. Huynh Thi Hoai’s family, from Ham Can 3 Hamlet, Ham Thanh Commune, is classified as a near-poor household in the local community. She and her husband have three school-aged children. Her husband works as a casual laborer, while she takes care of 200 dragon fruit plants and raises buffaloes and goats. Because she has young children to care for, she has limited opportunities to work outside the home.

Han – A 5-Year-Old Girl and Her Journey of Growing Up Through Resilience

Some steps may seem small, but they mark a long journey filled with perseverance, love, and hope. Han, a 5-year-old girl with a pure and bright smile, came to the Center in her early days carrying many challenges. Ever since she was born, she has had to face several health issues, which caused her overall development to be slower than that of her peers. Milestones that are completely natural for most children turned out to be arduous hurdles for little Han.

Tobacco smoke is one of the leading causes of respiratory diseases, cardiovascular illnesses, and cancer. It affects not only smokers but also those around them through secondhand smoke, especially children, pregnant women, older adults, and people with existing respiratory conditions. Creating a smoke-free environment is therefore essential to protecting public health.
Every Word Is a Miracle – An Nhiên (Bối)'s One-Year Journey

In April 2025, An Nhiên (Bối) was diagnosed with a language developmental delay by Children's Hospital 1. When Bối first joined Thien Chi Center, the child faced many challenges in communication, social interaction, and expressing personal needs. After one year of intervention, supported by dedicated teachers, a committed family, and Bối's own determination, remarkable progress has been achieved.
