Specialized Care Program

The Thien Chi Center runs a special learning and care program at its office in Duc Linh for children with disabilities. This program helps primary school children between five and ten years old who have learning and mental challenges like speech delays, Down syndrome and autism.

The center splits its daily schedule into morning and afternoon sessions that last about four hours each. During this time, the staff look after the children to make sure they are safe and cared for throughout the day.

The lessons focus strictly on basic reading, writing and communication, changed to fit what each child needs. Teachers teach the children how to read, use exercises to help them talk if they have speech delays and show them how to write simple letters. For the students who also go to local primary schools, the staff gives extra help so they can understand and finish their daily homework.

Four special teachers run the program and create simple educational games and playground activities. These fun routines are designed to improve how the children move, help them play together and reinforce learning concepts through physical play.

In the countryside of Vietnam, regular public schools often lack resources for special education, leaving many children with challenges without a good classroom option. The daily sessions at the Thien Chi office fill this gap by offering support that helps the children grow while letting parents work to earn a living for their families.
