INITIAL EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SOW PIG FARMING MODEL IN 2025

In 2025, the project provided support to 36 households to implement a sow pig farming model with the aim of improving livelihoods and increasing household income in the local area. Participating families received technical guidance on breeding, care, disease prevention, and the use of locally available feed resources to reduce production costs.

After a period of implementation, the model has shown positive initial results. Currently, the market price of piglets ranges from VND 1,200,000 to VND 1,500,000 per piglet, ensuring a relatively stable output for farmers. On average, each litter generates a profit of about VND 5,000,000 to VND 6,000,000, significantly contributing to improved household incomes.

In addition to its economic benefits, the sow pig farming model is well suited to local conditions, especially for households with limited land and available labor. Overall, this is a feasible and sustainable model with strong potential for replication in the future, contributing to household economic development and improving the living standards of the local community.
